PR stunts that make the headlines

For all those caffeine addicts visiting the coffee chain Starbucks last week, if they introduced themselves and told the staff their names, they received a free Latte!

Mr Kipling thrilled cake fans by creating interactive advert sites which dispensed FREE CAKES. 19 sites offered 500 free cakes a day and the poster campaigns let off a lovely sweet smell of cake.
Cadburys celebrated their half a million visitors on GOOGLE+ by creating a giant chocolate version of their social media website.
Pizza lovers have been drawn to the Domino’s Facebook page, where, if they spend over £10 on orders, they will receive free cookies. Finally, ice cream Kings Ben and Jerrys
Graham and Green presents Stag Sixteen

Graham and Green are one of our most exuberant web design clients, best known for their fashionable designer furniture and stunning collection of home accessories. Yesterday they launched their Stag Sixteen charity auction to raise money for the homeless charity Centrepoint. The charity supports young people living on the street, putting a roof over their heads and helping them create a better future for themselves.
The Stag Sixteen charity project involved the help of some of the most exciting and artistic designers in the fashion industry. Each of the artists were given a White Resin Stag Head, which is an iconic piece in its own right, to customise in their own individual ways. Some of the designers chose classic gold designs such as jewellery expert Erin Morris and footwear designer Manolo
Nottingham Girl Geeks Dinner

On Monday I attended the Nottingham Girl Geeks Dinner held at Cape. In overwhelmingly male industries it is great to meet up with other women and talk about the industry you work in.
This time round, the discussions focused on Facebook and privacy settings. The first speaker revealed the potentially devastating implications and consequences that can arise from the use of Facebook in situations where a child has been adopted. Birth parents can contact the children they gave away and children can attempt to find their birth parents which can be a recipe for disaster.
The next talk was again about Facebook privacy and the footprints we leave behind on the web which was equally scary. Search for your name in Google and see what comes up. An array of social profiles that you completely forgot existed,
