The benefits of Mobile Marketing
Posted by megan on November, 29th 2011
Mobile marketing is used by businesses to promote their goods, services, ideas and any offers they might have running. It involves communicating with customers by sending them a simple text messaging containing marketing material, perhaps a photograph via a multimedia message or they may even send a link for the customer to access on their mobile internet. This form of marketing is relatively cheap and great for businesses wanting to target a younger audience, who are more engaged with new technology as it’s all they have ever known.
SMS marketing has become increasingly popular since more and more people started to use text messaging as a key way of communicating, particularly in the early 2000s. Mobile marketing continues to grow as technology develops. Mobile phones are becoming useful
Marketing 101- Apple
Posted by admin on October, 11th 2011
Unless you have been living under a rock for the last few days, you know know that Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple passed away this week. In his later years, Steve Jobs was known for his battle with pancreatic cancer and whilst he survived for an amazing seven years after diagnosis, most sufferers only live for an average of 6 months as it is so hard to diagnose. Hopefully, Steve will be remembered for more than just being a demanding CEO who died in his 50′s after a long illness. We think that Steve Jobs will ultimately be remembered for creating one of the world’s most powerful and recognised brands ever seen.
It seems as though anybody looking for a case study about how the 4 P’s taught in ‘Marketing 101‘ need look no further than

noun /ˈmärkitiNG/
The action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising
————————-
Marketing, it encapsulates a whole world of processes. It’s the way you advertise your products and services to a global market, and get them to engage with you as a company. It helps you identify your customers, satisfy them and keep them. Creating repeat business and spreading your company name by word of mouth.
The first origins of marketing stem back as far as 1470 when the first flyers and leaflets were published.
Traditional marketing focused on the product, the customer and the sale, but left little though for the after sales service.
Modern Marketing uses all types of media and platforms and with the incredible growth of the internet and social media, marketing has become a process that any business can and should use with ease. The customer is our most important focus, pre, during and after
Product Placement
Posted by admin on March, 15th 2011
Advertising has taken quite a journey in the last 150 years. Not only has it lived in print, video, online, radio and even subliminal, the UK has finally come into line with the US and on 28 February 2011, media regulator OFCOM updated the broadcasting code and permitted broadcasters to use product placement as a form of advertising in the UK.
ITV led the charge on their This Morning programme, with the Nescafe Dulce Gusto netting the coveted spot as the first product in the UK to benefit from the updated broadcasting code.
A spokesperson from ITV said: “The editorial integrity of our programming remains ITV’s priority and any introduction of product placement will strictly adhere to Ofcom rules.”
Other programmes are also set to follow suit with Come Dine With Me being rumoured to be in talks with
How bloggers can add value working with PRs
Posted by admin on March, 7th 2011
Every day, more and more PR companies are developing blogger outreach programmes to enhance their client services portfolio. But what is blogger outreach and how does it work?
Put simply, blogger outreach programmes are where PRs approach bloggers who are prominent in their field and ask them very nicely to feature their client’s latest news.
This was great to start with for PRs, but over time bloggers started to feel taken advantage of. Here they were playing a part in a business’ publicity machine for free and with few benefits for themselves. Rightly so, very quickly the industry had to change. However, some PRs still don’t seem to respect the impact that bloggers (and copywriters) have on their readership.
Blogger outreach programmes should be mutually beneficial. PRs need to realise that bloggers
