PR Campaign and internet marketing for blinds company
Posted by admin on August, 22nd 2010We have recently taken on a PR and internet marketing campaign for a Remote Control Blinds company called Controliss. For the relatively new business our first PR objective is to gain some quality editorial space and exposure in relevant glossy home furnishings magazines. Remote Control blinds are new concept in the blinds industry and give the home real wow factor at very little extra cost. We are aiming to raise awareness in, and activate the appropriate demographic about the accessibility and quality of the product thus adding value to the business. The main objective for the client is to improve online sales and generate trade enquiry for the brand.
Our view on the business general has been holistic and we are improving the brand position in the home furnishings marketplace with various methods. The website when it came to us was almost unusable, poorly considered in terms of internet marketing and search engine position… and a bit of a mess in the back end. It really had the full measure of difficult issues. We very quickly simplified the function of the backend, improved the user interface and generally sped the site up to benefit the user experience encouraging sale.
We have been looking at brand position in visual terms with the design coming to us very loud and perhaps not suited to the home furnishing arena. We have softened the design with focus on the product and brand message as well as improving the volume of the call to buy. The overall impact of the changes we have made have already improved orders and search engine position dramatically. The work we have done has made the website a performance vehicle that will work for this phase in the life cycle of the business…. growth.
