Social Media, you should all know what this little diamond is by now, with the power of Facebook, and the tremendous effect twitter had within the London Riots, harnessing Social Media to push your companies marketing is a sure fire way to get people interested in your products and services.

It’s a very good idea to have a marketing strategy, whether you’re using traditional or digital and social marketing. This allows you to see the goals, and exactly what you intend to do to reach those goals.

Here at JPR Marketing we’ve put together a very simple idea for a social media marketing strategy to get you started, whether you’re a sole trader or a multi-million pound international business, using these tips will keep you on track with your marketing plan.

Firstly, know a bit about social media. It’s designed to allow users to engage with one another on a platform that is accessible and scalable. Here are a few site you may already know about, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Word press, Flickr. There are certain sites, which are based in certain sectors such as networking, blogging, picture and video sharing.

Social Media is happening in real time, its now, and you need to harness that feature. Millions of people use social media, and the best way to get their attention is to build relationships with those users.

Take advantage of the free social sites, dedicate time to those sites every day, and engage with users, do not sell, you have to be cleverer than that, they want an experience. This allows you to really discover what people want, you can be on the pulse and present them with a product they desire. Blog daily. This helps your site be recognised by Google, especially with new and relative content.
